Tonight I have decided to take the show on the road, and follow The Bradenton Marauders (affiliate of The Pittsburgh Pirates) to Lakeland Florida, as they take on The Lakeland Flying Tigers (affiliate of The Detroit Tigers). Gates open at a wonderful 5:30 PM as the game starts an hour later at 6:30 PM. As someone who has the privilege to work in minor league baseball, I sure do enjoy any chance that I get to go to another ballpark and enjoy a game!

6:50 PM | End of the 1st inning, the Marauders had a few opportunities to score, yet left two runners stranded as Endy Rodriguez was thrown out going home. In the bottom half, starter Jared Jones threw two strikeouts not allowing a run.
7:18 PM | Through two innings here in Lakeland, the Flying Tigers are up 3-0 on the Marauders. It may seem as if I am the only Marauders fan in the ballpark, I tried to get everyone excited after a Jared Jones strikeout and was given nothing but silence…
7:52 PM | Sitting here on a very chill evening in Lakeland, with a very watery Dr. Pepper, the Marauders are still Trailing by three runs through three and a half innings of baseball.
8:06 PM | The Bradenton Marauders make a call to the bullpen, Jared Jones is finished with a scoring line of 4 Innings pitched, 3 Hits allowed, 3 Runs allowed, and 7 Strikeouts! Next on the mound for the Marauders is RHP Sergio Umana.
8:58 PM | The later it gets, the less time the Marauders have to come back! We are currently in the bottom of the 8th inning, with the Flying Tigers still leading 3-0. On the other hand, Bradenton currently has two runners on and the tying run up to the plate.
9:09 PM | To the Bottom of the 8th… Bradenton was only capable of scoring one run due to a wild pitch, in total the Marauders have stranded 8 tonight 4 of which were in scoring position.
9:17 PM | Jase Bowen leads off the top of the 9th as the Marauders still trail by two runs. This is the last chance for the Marauders tonight in Lakeland.
9:30 PM | Despite the Marauders attempts late in the game, Lakeland has won 3-1. Tonight’s game took an estimated time of three hours, which is a short game if you are a Marauders fan. Bradenton will face off with Lakeland two more times (Saturday and Sunday) during the last bit of games in the 2021 season. Overall my experience here watching the Marauders was very unique, from security almost forgetting to check my bag upon entry, to the five dollar watered down soda, the only enjoyable aspect of the experience tonight was how close I was able to be to the team.
Signing off for now.

Hey Logan!
This is such a unique blog post, this post was detailed, yet so simple. You post was so easy to follow, I felt like I was three, hearing the play by play. You did a great job keeping it simple for someone to get the highlights of the game without actually being there. It is so cool that you got to go to Lakeland to enjoy this game! Great work reporting on it!

Hey Logan! This was super fun to read because I love watching baseball. I love the minute by minute plays you shared. Sorry about the watered down soda, that’s no fun. Cool pictures too! Those are really great and engaging.

Hello Logan,
I like the pictures and the minute-by-minute play was a nice touch but that’s about it. To me, the story had some potential but it fell flat. For someone who is passionate about baseball and enjoys going to games, you didn’t draw your viewers/readers in. You didn’t really say much in this post. As far as the minute-by-minute play is it suppose to be in the format that you listed? You started off with the bottom of the 8th then went to the 1st inner that seemed a bit confusing to me.

Wow, Logan, You have an incredible memory to keep track of such a big event. Good job on setting the mood and environment of a baseball game with background colors and perfect images.

Hey Logan,
Your blog was very fascinating. I love detail you put into it to make it seem like I was actually there. I especially loved the description of the watery Dr. Pepper. Too funny. I cringe at just the thought of that. The only thing that I would recommend to you is to put the pictures throughout the blog instead of most of them being at the very beginning. Great job!
